Jay-Z Responds to Sexual Assault Allegations, Calling Them ‘Fraud’ and Vowing to Fight Back!
A new civil lawsuit filed on December 8 accuses Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, of sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl at an afterparty following the MTV Video Music Awards in September 2000. The lawsuit also names Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is currently in jail facing charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
According to the complaint, Combs and Carter allegedly assaulted the minor while others at the party failed to intervene. The filing claims, “Another celebrity stood by and watched as Combs and Carter took turns assaulting the minor. Many others were present at the afterparty but did nothing to stop the assault.” Jay-Z, who was initially identified as "Celebrity A" in the original complaint against Combs, is now explicitly named in the updated lawsuit.
In response to the allegations, Jay-Z has denied all claims, stating he is “more than prepared” to address the accusations in court. He referred to the allegations as “fraud” and expressed his intention to “expose” what he described as an unfounded attack on his character. Jay-z and Beyonce
These allegations come at a time when Sean "Diddy" Combs is already facing significant legal troubles. In September 2024, Combs was arrested on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. This followed a 2023 lawsuit filed by his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, detailing years of alleged abuse during their relationship. Earlier this year, video footage surfaced showing Combs physically assaulting Cassie in a hotel hallway, further tarnishing his public image.
Both Jay-Z and Combs are now under intense public scrutiny as the legal proceedings unfold.

he plaintiff in the lawsuit remains unidentified. Jay-Z has strongly criticized the lawyer handling the case, calling him a "deplorable human being." In a statement shared by Roc Nation on X, Jay-Z stated:
"My lawyer received a blackmail attempt, labeled as a demand letter, from a so-called 'lawyer' named Tony Buzbee. His calculation was that the nature of these allegations and the resulting public scrutiny would pressure me into settling. Absolutely not! It had the opposite effect—it made me determined to expose you for the fraud you are.
These allegations are so heinous that I urge you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! If someone committed such a crime against a minor, they should be imprisoned, don’t you agree? Real justice is what these alleged victims deserve if this were true."
Jay-Z, 55, is a billionaire entrepreneur, record producer, and former rapper, married to music icon Beyoncé.
Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing the alleged victim, told AFP news agency, "The pleading speaks for itself. This is a very serious matter that will be resolved in court." He added that the alleged victim "never demanded a penny" from Jay-Z and only sought "a confidential mediation."
Meanwhile, federal prosecutors have accused Sean "Diddy" Combs, also 55, of sexually abusing women and coercing them into drug-fueled sex parties through threats and violence. Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges, and his criminal trial is set to begin on May 5, 2025. Attorney Buzbee, who previously indicated that more than 100 alleged victims planned legal action against Combs, continues to play a central role in these high-profile cases.
